(FACULTY OF PHARMACY)
Position: Lecturer I
(Department Of Pharmaceutical Microbiology)
Salary Scale: CONUASS 4 (N 1,122,751 X N 40,223 – N 1,444,535)
Qualification and Experience:
- · Applicants should possess M.Sc. and Ph.D Degrees in Pharmaceutical Microbiology (or Pharmaceutics with an option in Pharmaceutical Microbiology). Holders of M.Sc. with evidence of current registration for a Ph.D programme will be considered. In each case, interest in Molecular Biology/Virology and relevant teaching experience of at least 3 years in a recognized university are required as well as academic publications in learned journals. Registration with the Pharmacists’ Council of Nigeria is mandatory.
Position: Lecturer I/II: Faculty of the Social Sciences
(Department of Urban and Regional Planning)

Qualification and Experience:
- · Applicants should hold MURP/M.Sc. degree in Urban and Regional Planning and be registered or registerable with the Nigerian Institute of Town Planners (NITP) and the Town Planners Registration Council (TOPREC).
- · Applicants should also hold Ph.D degree in Urban and Regional Planning. Previous teaching experience at the University level will be an advantage.
Position: Senior Lecturer:
Faculty of Veterinary Medicine
(Department of Veterinary Medicine)
Salary Scale: CONUASS 5 (N 1,653,415 X N 57.907 – N 2,348,299)
Area of Specialization
Ruminant Medicine
Qualification and Experience:
- · Applicants should possess D. V. M. V. Sc. and Ph D or evidence of appreciable progress in relevant Ph.D programme and current registration with the Veterinary Council of Nigeria.
- · Applicants should also have a minimum of nine years practical experience in Small and Large
- · Animal, Poultry, Aquatic and Wildlife Medicine as well as Animal Management.
- · In addition, applicants must be able to rotate through any of the Units named above whenever required.
- · There should be evidence of leadership in Research and at least ten (10) scholarly publications in peer-reviewed and reputable journals.
Conditions of Service
The appointments, which are to commence as soon as possible, are for three years initially. They may be extended for specific periods or confirmed to retiring age. Fringe benefits include a pension Scheme or comparable arrangement as may be approved from to time by the University Council residential accommodation or housing allowance at an approved rate and passages for approved Overseas Study
Leave.
