Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the post of Medical Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Federal Medical Centre, Bida.
Position: Medical Director and Chief Executive Officer
Qualifications
Candidates for the post must possess the following academic qualifications and personal qualities.
- Be a Medical Doctor with not less than 15 years cognate medical experience and who is medically fit
- Possess a postgraduate qualification duly registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria.
- Must have been a Medical Consultant for at least five (5) years.
- Be of proven good character.
- Any qualification/recognition in Management Studies and experience will be an added advantage.
Duties
- Serve as the Chief Executive and Accounting Officer of the hospital
- Charged with the responsibility for execution of the policies and matters affecting the day-to-day management of the affairs of the hospital.
- Exercise the power, authority and discipline over all staff subject to the general control of the Board of Management and Federal Ministry of Health.

- A statement of the candidate’s own self appraisal describing his suitability and preparedness for the job in not more than two (2) full pages. (Approximately 700 words),
- Other activities outside current employment.
- Names and addresses of three (3) referees who are to forward confidential reports on them directly to the Head of Administration and Secretary to the Board. Such referees should be able to attest to the candidate’s academic, professional and managerial abilities as well as moral character and uprightness.
- Applicants must be ready to support every claim with documentary evidence (where required) and bring the originals of all their credentials if invited for interview
