Vacancies: Clinical Service Officer – Gombe State, Program Assistant, Program Associate, Biomedical Engineering
We are leading and reputable indigenous Non-Governmental Organization implementing a comprehensive family focused HIV/AIDS prevention, care and treatment in partnership with the different tiers of the Government of Nigeria at national, State local and site levels. In line with the broadened scope and objectives of our work, the need for increased staff capacity around new and enlarged areas of focus have emerged. We therefore require the services of resourceful, experienced and dynamic professionals for the following positions.
Position: Clinical Services Officer (PMTCT)
Location: Gombe State
Responsibilities:
- The Clinical Services Officer will provide technical support for multidisciplinary HIV/ AIDS prevention, care and treatment, working with health facility based site teams to provide PMTCT services to pregnant and post partum HIV positive women and their babies
- Planning implementing and monitoring PMTCT activities at sites in designated states
- Overseeing the PMTCT clinics at sites in designated states by providing ongoing mentoring and hands-on supervision
- Provide technical assistance to medical practitioners to ensure quality service delivery to patients as part of site multidisciplinary team
- Multitask in other HIV/AIDS Clinical areas such as adult and pediatric treatment, comprehensive prevention etc
- Building site personnel capacity through training
- Developing/strengthening plans for enrolling more pregnant HIV+ women in the communities into PMTCT clinics
- Supervising data collection for monitoring and evaluation use
- Integrating HIV/AIDS care and treatment into other Maternal and Child Health activities
- Ensuring linkages between PMTCT clinics and other facility and community based services.
Minimum Qualification:
- Advanced Degree in Nursing/Midwifery. Medicine, or Public health
- Substantial Clinical experience in HIV/AIDS care and treatment
- 5 years experience in providing PMTCT services and or comprehensive Reproductive Health services
- Excellent grasp of clinical issues and current literature in HIV/AIDS and PMTCT
- Experience in training and facilitation
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Fluency in written and spoken English

Position: Program Assistant
Location: Kaduna
Responsibilities:
- The incumbent will provide support to the technical program team in the state
- Coordinate input from project team members for reports to donors on project activities (narrative and financial) and ensure timely submission to donors (as well as updating internal staff on project status)
- Coordinate logistics support for technical program activities as required by program team.
- Providing technical support to the state office and all supported sites as required
- Assisting in planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting of the program.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in social or Medical Sciences
- Advanced degree is an advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Prior experience in a health/HIV programs management role preferably in NGO setting.
- Ability to speak local language will be an advantage.

Position: Program Associate, Biomedical Engineering
Location: Abuja
Responsibilities:
- Under the supervision of the Senior Biomedical Engineering Associate, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring maintenance plan for equipment across supported sites are functional at all time
- Supervise equipment installation by vendor personnel and conduct trainings for supported user facility staff on the usage and maintenance of such equipment
- Perform periodic maintenance and repairs of medical laboratory equipment at program supported sites as may be requested from time to time
- Conduct trainings for laboratory Scientist/technician to perform regular maintenance activities for equipment and ensure that this culture is maintained
Minimum Qualifications:
- Candidates must possess B.Sc or HND in Biomedical Engineering or Electrical Electronic Engineering.
- Minimum 2 years previous experience in the installation and maintenance of Laboratory equipments and analyzer
- Experience in maintaining equipments like Vitros OT 60 II, V250, Sysmex and cyflow analyzers will be an advantage.
