Job Title: IT Services Manager (Ref DCPIT003)
Responsibilities
The person in this role would manage the IT Service Delivery as a single point of contact in the Group, ensuring that proper notification /escalation of service events are followed as related by event management policies. S/he would also be responsible for ensuring that ticket management and customer/internal notification are performed on time and to standard. Other responsibilities include:
- Ensuring a 24x7availability for servicing IT end user requests.
- Defining service level agreements (SLAs)related to contracted services and operational level agreements (OLAs) with other user departments within the Group,
- Ensuring that systems, processes and methodologies as specified are followed to ensure effective monitoring, control and support of service delivery,
Specifications:
- B.Sc/B.Eng Computer Science/Computer Engineering or related field, with at least 3 years experience in a similar role.
- Professional Certifications; ITIL Service Delivery is a must.
- Minimum of 5 years IT experience in end user support guided by OLAs/SLAs in a large organization,
- Sound managerial skills as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Job Title: Application Networks Architect (Ref DCPITOO4)
Responsibilities
The Application Networks Architect would have sole responsibility for Enterprise IP network design and planning for various services: Internet, APN, LL, etc. S/he would be required to develop, implement, monitor, support and analyse systems. Other activities would include:
- Capacity planning-including licensing, patches and bandwidth management
- Providing high level technical support in the planning, coordination and implementation of releases, upgrades or changes to network infrastructure,
- Performing capacity planning; forecasting and workload,
- Evaluating vendor offers and making appropriate recommendations,
- Preparing technical specification, BoQ and procurement documents as necessary
- Ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements with respect to Enterprise networks,
- Ensuring proper functioning and 24×7 connectivity to support the business activities of the Group,
Person Specifications:
- B.Sc/B.Eng Computer Science/Computer Engineering.
- Professional certifications; CCNA and CCNP required.
- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in supervisory position
- Experience working in large Enterprise Environments
- Experience with Cisco switching & routing (LAN/WAN)
- Vendor Management
- Juniper router/firewalls, Cisco wireless devices, Routing protocols
- Sound managerial skills
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
