Vacancies: Management Information System (MIS) Officer, Cook
Action Against Hunger (ACF) USA is part of the ACF-International Network which works to save lives by combating hunger and diseases that threaten vulnerable communities, through nutrition, food security, water and sanitation, health and advocacy.
Action Against Hunger is seeking qualified candidates for posts based in Jigawa and one in Abuja, details of which are below:
Position: Management Information System (MIS) Officer, CDGP Program
Purpose: Establish and implement an integrated MIS into the CDGP. Ensure proper and timely implement of PQA tools and monitoring and evaluation reporting. Document best practices related to planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
Essential skill requirements related:
- Professional, motivated, open, creative, mature, responsible flexible and, culturally sensitive. Excellent teamwork and communication competencies.
- Experience implementing programming on behalf of donor (i.e. USAID, ECHO, DFID, CIDA funded activities
- Willing and able to be based and travel regularly within remote areas, where services are limited. Computer literacy and high functionality with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Word).
- Fluency in Hausa and English. Commitment to ACF values and charter Principles of independence, Neutrality, Non-Discrimination, Free and Direct Access to Victims, Professionalism, and Transparency.
Qualifications & Skills:
- In addition requirement: Degree or higher diploma in IT, program management or related area.
- Minimum two year experience working with donor funded programming Excellent computer literacy.
- Proven ability to create management information systems for large amounts of date within a complex program.
- Knowledge and experience in using database specific software. Excellent communication, writing and analytical skills. IT trouble-shooting capabilities.
- Experience leading capacity building and training for national teams.
- Previous experience with food security and livelihoods programming, specifically cash based interventions strongly preferred.
Position: Cook in Abuja
Abuja expatriate residence requires a full time Cook to prepare meals for between 4-12 residents per day (varies depending on occupancy and presence of visitors). Successful candidates must be rigorous in their knowledge of hygienic food preparation and maintenance of a clean workspace and food storage, organization, time and food-supply management, service-oriented and flexible, with the ability to plan and prepare a varied, healthy and budget-conscious menu. Certification in “food safe” or equivalent, training and experience as a Cook, is required.
