Position: Strategic Sourcing Manager
Responsibilities
The person will among other responsibilities carry out the following:
- Ensure sourcing initiatives for categories of goods/services and equipment to fully address business objectives and needs
- Establish targets and objectives for categories of goods/services and equipment with the procurement Director.
- Populate master data (classification, Naming convention, UOM, safety stock, Re order point, etc) in collaboration with relevant functions
- Develop a 2nd Tier of key suppliers for selected category, equipment and critical spares areas to support spares availability.
- Ensure supplier management activities support strategic and financial objectives of the company and work to mitigate risk associated with supply.
- Collaborate with all departments to agree and optimize effective sourcing and supplier management initiatives
- Conduct rigorous performance management of the sourcing team to ensure excellent performance.
- Ensure benefit target achieved.
IT Skills:
- Must be computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft word, power point, excel, and other relevant packages

- Proven performance in managing and developing a sourcing team, with requisite drive and energy to ensure that a challenging benefits and capability building agenda is successfully delivered.

Qualification
- Applicant should have a minimum of Bachelor degree, HND in Engineering, purchasing, logistics, planning.
- Possession of MBA is an added advantage.
The Person
- Not more than 45 years of age. Proactive, self motivated, Disciplined, Assertive, Analytical, very Energetic with good team leadership skills and must be a team player.
Experience
- A minimum of 10 years in procurement or operation function and a minimum of 5 years as senior sourcing manager with exposes in supply chain management, complex strategic sourcing and optimal procurement processes.
