Position: Director, Health Systems Strengthening and Lab Services
Responsibilities include:
- Strengthen systems to ensure sustainable, efficient delivery of health services at the different care levels.
- Provide technical and managerial oversight in the planning, implementation and monitoring of Nigeria’s health policy and system initiatives.
- Give technical assistance to the Ministry of Health and other government agencies and stakeholders.
- Oversee all aspects of the laboratory services in Nigeria, including supply chain management, laboratory best practices, and capacity building.
Qualifications include:
- Candidates must have BS/BA in economics, hlth economics, public or hlth policy, public hlth, lab science or a similar degree with 11 yrs int’l dev programs, including 5 yrs supervisory exp. At least 5 yrs exp in applied hlth policy analysis and dev at nat’t and int’l levels, including capacity building and policy advisory work. Excellent knowledge of hlth financing workforce issues; exp in hlth systems research and policy advisory required. In addition, familiarity with Nigerian public sector hlth systems, int’l donor organizations, NGOs and CBOs required.
