A faith based non-profit organisation with a proven track record of building the society by changing the lives of people through rehabilitation, empowerment and education seeks to employ experienced professionals to join its team by occupying the following position:
Position: Executive Director
Leadership:
- Represent the foundation on all aspects of corporate communication and correspondence
- Develop operational plans which incorporate goals and objectives of the organisation and manage responsibly for the successful leadership and strategic management of the organization.
Operational Planning & Management:
Participate with EXCO and Board of Trustees in developing a strategic plan to guide the foundation, based on the vision as expressed/outlined by the founder
Ensure implementation of policies, procedures and best practice.
Financial Planning: Development of fund raising plans in order to increase funding for the organization.
Liaise with Board and Finance committee to secure adequate funding for the operation of the organisation as well as prepare a comprehensive budget for the organisation.
Community Relates/Advocacy: Establish good working relationships and collaborative arrangements with community groups, sponsors, donors, finders, government organizations, politicians and other NGO organizations to attain the goals of the organization,
Risk Management:
Evaluate the risks to the foundation, its people property, finances, goodwill and image and also implement control measures to reduce exposure.
Demonstrate technical understanding of managing a non-profit organization;
Requirement
- Applicant must possess MBA or Masters degree from the social sciences, humanities or management sciences.
- 7-10 years experience at senior management level within a non-profit organisation.
- Proficiency in the use of computers for Word Processing, Financial Management E-mail and Internet.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate with multiple audiences using a variety of formats.
