A Leading Transport and Logistics Company in Nigeria requires the services of an experienced Person to head its Haulage Division
Position: Head Haulage Division: (Expatriate / Nigerian)
Reporting Line: To the Chief Executive Officer
Supervising: 4 business units nationwide.
Location: Lagos, Nigeria
Fleet Size: 250 Trucks
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for the achievement of Haulage Division Target
- Implement Company haulage, strategy, policies, procedures and practices
- Participate in and advise Management on Truck charter contract negotiations; dedicated trucks relationships etc.
- Ensure smooth implementation of Haulage agreements and customer satisfaction
- Establish standards and ensure compliance in Company haulage operations and logistics management e.g. crew management, truck deployment and monitoring, fueling etc
- Ensure prompt credit collection and effective cost management
- Engage in business development activities to grow existing business
- Put in place and enforce control measures that regulate/check the excesses of crew/ground operations staff to minimize losses; adopt best practices in fleet deployment to maximize capacity and minimize waste
Qualification/Experience:
- Degree/HND in Automobile Engineering/Transport Management
- Minimum of 15 years post graduate experience in Transport and logistics
- Good interpersonal skills
- Articulate with excellent communication skills
- Computer literacy with working knowledge of spread sheet/Excel
- Planning and execution skills
- Age not more than 45
