Vacancies: Infrastructure Engineer, Manager (Gas & Power Solution), Head (Capacity Development & Talent Sourcing)
Vacancies exist in a leading Energy Service Company for the following Positions:
Position: Infrastructure Engineer
The incumbent will work within a team of infrastructure related disciplines to undertake or support business development and the execution of engineering project, including installation and maintenance.
Key Deliverable:
- Undertake feasibility studies and provide technical input with particular regard to transport sector projects (roads/highways, seaport/ airports, rails and industrial facilities waste management as well as other infrastructure projects;
- Participate in the assessment, review and conceptual design of all rail structures such as bridges, platforms etc. and meets all technical requirements in a timely and efficient manner;
- Supervise projects; play a key role in monitoring the progress of projects; supervise and monitor procurement activities, review tender lists, bid documents, analysis, award recommendation and contracts documents;
- Support the development of expertise in our rail capabilities. Also maintain and support ongoing business relationships with key clients and customers.
Skills and Experiences:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structure Engineering or a related field.
- Master’s Degree and professional qualification as related would be an added advantage.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and appropriate software.
- 10 years experience in design of road and highway transportation, infrastructure projects, including tunnels, bridges, track work and other related structures; various projects experience required
- Understanding of planning large civil infrastructures and knowledge of operational conditions affecting logistics and design
- Experience with highway design tools or similar computer tools.
- Client focused.
- Sound interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- Knowledge of French language will be an advantage.
Position: Manager (Gas & Power Solution)
The incumbent will handle engineering of electricity and renewable energy, including biofuels, hydro, wind and solar power S/he will be involved in providing gas solutions and infrastructure to various clients.
Job Description:
- Will be involved in providing gas delivery solutions, mechanical installations including welding operations, corrosion analysis and cathodic protection, fire and gas system designing, equipment troubleshooting and FAT coordination & supervision
- Will be involved with designing of pipeline systems, inspections and salvaging of lines pipes for the pipeline construction from among cored pipes. Carry out site construction supervision, supervision of pipeline hydrostatic testing, dewatering and commissioning exercises.
- Will be involved with pipeline and gas metering station facilities maintenance, compressors and valves
- Will be involved in the design, development and building of renewable energy technologies; contributing to sustainable energy initiatives
- Negotiating service agreements and managing associated costs and revenues; preparing detailed schedules of work, feasibility studies and cost estimates; for gas and power projects. Carry out site inspections
Qualifications and Skills:
- First degree in mechanical or electrical engineering. A relevant masters degree is an advantage
- Must be a registered professional engineer (NSE, COREN, etc)
- Must be fluent in speaking French
- Must have a minimum of 10 years related experience.
Position: Head (Capacity Development & Talent Sourcing)
The incumbent will be responsible for both company’s training function and third party consultancy training, using knowledge of the principles and methods of curriculum and training organization.
Responsibilities include:
- Undertake marketing of training programme to clients that are relevant to various courses, workshops or seminars on continuous basis
- Designing and Implementation of business marketing strategy to attract suitable clients for the various training and technical recruitment services rendered by the company.
- Designing and developing training and development programmes based on the requirements of clients.
- Conduct evaluation of the performance of instructors and the result of the training programs; make recommendations to enhance the efficiency of the training;
Qualifications
- First degree in engineering or sciences. A relevant masters degree is an advantage
- Must have a minimum of 6 years related experience in organizing and running training programs with understanding of e-learning techniques and where relevant, being involved in the creation and/or delivery e-learning packages.
- He/She must be articulate with remarkable interpersonal skills
