Position:     Managing Director

Job Purposes

The position of the Managing Director of a company is a very top executive for the running of the company successfully. He will report to the Chairman.

 

  • The prime responsibility and aim are to develop mew business to ensure the growth and progress of the company, while ensuring cost effective execution of on-going projects.
  • He/She has to work as a high level sales person to introduce and bring new clients and projects for the company.
  • It will be his/her responsibility and duty to report to the Board of Directors about the vital information on the company’s overall performance, covering business plan and budget, and human capacity development
  • Achieve and exceed key operational KPIs and maintain high quality standards and accountable for achieving the budget.
  • He/She will oversee the process of recruiting and retaining of the employees of the company to ensure that the standard of a company never deteriorates.
  • Monitor performance of each department and ensure optimum staff levels to achieve quality and financial performance and implementing improvements to ensure the company achieves competitive advantage and profitability.
  • Meet with customers to determine opportunities and technical requirements of projects and contracts, and promote the image, capacity, and integrity of the company.
  • Develop, implement, and achieve annual business plan for the operation including Profit and Loss, growth, and balance objectives
  • Ensure that both short and long term human resources needs of the operation are being met.
  • Plan, develop, and implement strategies for generating resources and/or revenues in order to generate adequate profit for the company
  • Identify partnerships or acquisition opportunities and direct implementation activities

 

Skills and Specifications:

  • He /She should have required excellent technical, administrative and Managerial Skills.
  • He /She should have the ability to manage all departments of the company with maximum efficiency
  • Must have competency in commercial negotiation of Projects and contracts to successful conclusion
  • The person should have the far sightedness and ability to scrutinize effectively all the departments of the company.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum Qualification: Graduate and Post Graduate Degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical) discipline with excellent leadership qualities with NSE + COREN Certifications and MBA
  • Candidate must possess at least 20years post qualification experience in oil and gas industry with good exposure to handling technical functions
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suites, AutoCAD and knowledge of Engineering Softwares
  • Age Group: 45-50years. Candidate should be fluent in English; knowledge of French will be added advantage.
