Vacancies: Plant and Equipment Fleet Manager, Project Engineers Building/Civil, Quantity Surveyor
A Lagos based building and civil engineering division of a Fast Growing Multinational Company is looking to build on its 20 years of successful project implementation nationwide and become a leading player in the Nigeria market.
To meet our expansion plans, we need to recruit additional staff members to our team, and are looking to fill the following positions:
Position: Plant and Equipment Fleet Manager (Expatriate)
Responsibilities
- Plans, directs, and coordinates the operation of plant and equipment maintenance and repair programs for company owned plant and equipment.
- Plans, directs, and coordinates the company fleet management system.
- Prepares and directs in-service training programs for newly employed technicians and drivers Reviews purchase requests for new and replacement vehicles and equipments.
- Prepares short and long range plans for transit system operation including transit routing and scheduling.
- Plans and administers a preventive maintenance and equipment replacement program for the Company.
- Prepares cost analysis and periodic management and operational reports.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Requirements:
- 8-15 years relevant experience Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Eng, Electrical Engineering
- Must be between 30-40 years old.
Position: Project Engineers Building/Civil (Nigerian and Expatriate)
Responsibilities
- Manages construction and engineering projects from point of award to point of handover.
- Visits company sites, new plots or industrial client sites to carry out engineering assessments and prepares engineering reports
- Carries out engineering analysis, designs and calculations for projects that have such requirement.
- Prepares the required engineering drawings
- Prepares cost estimates based on the aforementioned and will define BOQ and tender requirements with Quantity Surveyor.
- Acts as the first link between the company and the client for the project.
- Ensures that equipment, materials and works comply with the scope requirements, guidelines, quality and safety standards.
Requirements:
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Computer proficiency -AUTOCAD, Microsoft Office tools.
- Detail oriented with integrity, good interpersonal skills with sound project management skills
- Minimum of 5 years work experience in construction
Position: Quantity Surveyor: (Nigerian)
Responsibilities:
- Prepares pre-qualification and tender submissions
- Prepares valuation and claim submissions
- Assists the project managers /engineers in the day to day commercial and contractual aspects of projects
- Prepares and submits to management financial reports
- Reviews and recommends subcontractor and supplier payments
- Monitors and assist with project cost control
- Reviews contract obligations and requirements
Requirements
- Candidates must have B.Sc/HND Quantity Surveying.
- Membership of relevant professional bodies will be an added advantage.
- Excellent computer skills especially spread sheets
- Be familiar with all pre and post contract techniques and processes
- Applicants should possess a minimum of 10 years experience in similar position.
