Position: Safety Manager
Key Responsibilities:
The appointee will amongst other things be responsible for:
- Conduct safety audits of facilities to pinpoint unsafe working conditions and practices and develop sound recommendations for corrections.
- Maintain weekly and monthly safety performance metrics.
- Investigate injury reports and follow-up to ensure corrective action is taken.
- Coordinate industrial hygiene testing and implement corrective action, if required.
- Provide safety updates during management and team meetings.
- Develop and recommend general accident prevention programs to include specific protective procedures and devices.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Develop and lead the Company’s ergonomics program.
- Conduct in-house training programs for concerned staff on regular basis.
- Any other assigned job.
Requirements:
The suitable candidate must possess
- Candidates must have B.Sc/HND Safety Management or any other Safety related disciplines.
- Membership of Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of five years experience in Food packaging and
- Beverage Industry.
- Computer literate.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Must be below thirty five years of age.
- Good human management skills and planning.
- Ability to work with little or no supervision.
