Position: Sales and Service Engineer (Automation)
What are my responsibilities?
- Demonstrable strong technical knowledge of Industrial Automation Systems,
- Conduct market competitor and customer requirements for tactical sales.
- Prepares Tenders and Offers, including systematic documentation and communication of the negotiation results, to ensure achievement of the planned volume of new business in line with a stipulated positive margin,
- Promotion and Field testing /commissioning of automation systems.
What do I need to qualify for this job?
- A first degree in Electrical Engineering or its equivalent
- A minimum of 2 years demonstrable experience in handling PCS 7 programming & commissioning,
- Must possess basic knowledge required in Simatic Step 7, Simatic Wincc-HMI.
- Must possess Basic knowledge of SIMATIC programming languages like STL, LAD, FBD, CFC etc
- Knowledge of working of Field devices
- Must possess good Sales and Marketing skills
- Must be proactive, with a visible thirst for success
- Must be dynamic with pleasant team-work personality
- Proficiency in computer applications including Microsoft Office packages
- Complementary studies in business administration or marketing will also be an added advantage
- Ready to travel to site at various locations at short notice.
Position: Local Sales Manager/Project Developer
What are my responsibilities?
- Support Region Sales Organization to increase business volume and customer intimacy within the Energy, Oil & Gas customers specifically in the power generation business.
- Conduct market, competitor and customer analyses for Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines and Solutions development and tactical sales.
- Coordinates with the Region Sales Manager to prepare commercial and technical budgetary proposals and represent the company in meetings with customers.
- Provide quotation/tenders and conduct contract negotiations, including systematic documentation and communication of the negotiation results, to ensure achievement of the planned volume of new orders in line with the stipulated positive margin taking both technical and commercial requirement into account
- Ensures that customer queries are dealt with professionally and timeously and advice customers where applicable
- Timely and complete provision of the requisite Inputs for processing proposals as well as conducting the Limit of Authority for all binding proposals to ensure high proposal quality that entails minimum risks.
- Demonstrates understanding of sales and marketing principles and recent legal developments that could affect the job at hand.
- Availability to short but frequent business trips within West Africa and Europe
What do I need to qualify for this job?
- A minimum of 8 years demonstrable strong technical knowledge of turbo machinery application is preferred but not mandatory
- Must possess good sales marketing and leadership skills
- Must demonstrate strong presentation skids and ability to work under pressure
- Must have extensive knowledge of Oil and Gas markets and power generation, transmission and distribution applications,
- Must be proactive, with a visible thirst for success
- Must be dynamic with a pleasant team work personality Proficiency in computer applications including Microsoft Office packages
- A first degree in Engineering or its equivalent, a MBA is a plus
- Complementary studies in business administration or marketing will be an added advantage
- Fluency in French or German language will be an added advantage
