Position: Chief Operating Officer (Product Sales and Distribution) (Ref: EX-01)
- This role provide leadership and strategic management of business operations to achieve set P and L, objectives. The overall focus is to grow the customer base, market share profit margins and ensure operational effectiveness while, driving the implementation of policies and standard that align with the Group’s vision and business philosophy
Key Accountabilities:
- Develops and aligns company business objectives with the vision and long-term strategies of the Group
- Communicates the Group’s vision and long-term business strategy and ensures that the company operates in line with Group’s governance policies standards and values
- Ensures effective implementation of the company’s business strategies, growth plans and budgets in support of the Group’s long-term business direction
- Puts adequate operational systems and controls in place to ensure proper monitoring of the company’s performance against plans and budgets
- Ensures that company operations and performance culture comply with approved financial, business and risk management objectives as well as applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
- Monitors and directs members of the BU leadership team to effectively deliver on respective functional programmes, achieve set targets and improve overall performance
- Ensures proper adherence to the organization’s Health and Safety policies across all functional units.
- Facilitates resolution of high-priority issues between departments and acts as the organization’s ambassador and spokesman in matters involving external stakeholders.
- Reports regularly to the Group’s Executive management Board on company performance target achievements (i.e. financial results, market performance of products, organizational development plans and overall business performance).
Skills/Competencies
- The right person for these business leadership roles must be able to deliver within tight timeframes, cope well with pressure and solve complex operational problems. The person must have excellent analytical, business development and strategic planning skills, strong negotiation and management capacity, excellent customer relationship management ability, interpersonal, project and change management skills: self-motivated, diligent and enthusiastic with a winning.
Education and Experience:
- First degree Business administration or a Management related discipline
- Post graduate business degree (including MBA) will be an advantage
- 12 years hands-on sales and product distribution management experience, 5 years of which must be at management or functional leadership position in a downstream business environment
Position: Chief Operating Officer (Engineering Services) (Ref: FX-02)

- 12 years post qualification work experience of which 5 must have been at management level in an Engineering, Construction, procurement and maintenance business environment
