Position: Logistics Manager
Location: Nigeria
Job Role:
Responsible for developing and improving as well as executing the logistics processes in line with the company policies and ethics. Lead and organize logistical recourses appropriately.
Responsibilities:
- Assume full responsibility for Customs, trade control and other transport regulatory compliance of all the logistics activities (Import and Export). Adhere to ITC (International Trade Compliance) as observed by Emerson
- Maintain a close working relationship with business segments to ensure service delivery and the right amount of support
- Ensure safe operation in all logistical operations
- Liaise with freight forwarders, Customs clearing Agents, Government departments, Internal and external customers to ensure efficient and effective movement of goods is achieved
- Ensure Efficient and effective inventory management control is maintain and storage optimization. Monitoring the quality cost and performance of both movement of goods and warehousing.
- Analyze logistical challenges and develop/suggest new solutions
- Plan and implement material flow management system to meet planned deployment
- To create and maintain a “dash-board” status report on all shipments for use internally
- Full responsibility and accountability of logistics and warehouse in Nigeria
Qualification:
- Possession of a degree/diploma in logistics or equivalent
- 4-5 years experience in a similar position
- Must have analytical, structured, but flexible and be able to influence change
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Must demonstrate good leadership with sound business ethics and consistency with principles, values and behaviour
