We are one of Nigeria’s Leading Companies in the Oil & Gas Service Sector. We are looking to hire top professionals in our Oil and Gas/ Marine Division.

 

Position: Manager (Technical)

 

This position requires that the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring appropriate and timely overall operations input into planned project, engineering and resource development designs. The ideal candidate must have proven and extensive years of experience in marine and offshore supply vessel market. He/She must possess all the necessary skills to handle all aspects of the mechanics of engines (electrical and mechanical) of vessels.

 

The responsibilities will include as follows:

  • Report to the Operations Manager on the status of fleet on a daily basis and report vessel status during weekly Operations meeting.
  • Support the technical aspects of assigned fleet.
  • Deal with daily communication to assigned fleet and various vendors, being the first point of contact between the vessel and shore for Technical matters.
  • Attend third party/client inspections where required. Monitor third party inspection observations to ensure they are closed out effectively.
  • Ensure all defects are recorded, tracked, and rectified effectively.

 

 

Position: Port Captain

 

The purpose of tins role is to oversee the planning, directing, or coordinating of off-shore services of the organization to ensure effective management and day to day running of company’s vessels to ensure that project scopes are completed on schedule, within budget and according to the quality standards required by the company. The ideal candidate must have proven experience in managing vessels and liaising with vessel Captain, Charterers and Crew members and on shore Staff. He must have the qualification to and oversee construction, modify and repair marine craft and floating structures, implementation of stability standards and procedures and ensure regulations and procedures in house meets current regulatory requirements.

 

The responsibilities will include:

  • Day to day operations of the ship
  • Partner with the Master and the Compliance Coordinator to execute IMO, class & flag and ISM responsibilities and compliance on the vessel.
  • Enthusiastically pursue safety culture and practice on-board the ships
  • Report to the Operations .Manager daily on ship’s performance
  • Participate in SMS review meetings
  • Effectively manage Government relationships with regards to port access and permits.
  • Dealing with non-conformity covering ship and shore-base operations
  • Execute all duties prior to, during and after vessel’s port call, up to and including terminal notification,   berthing   instructions, cargo operations, departure arrangements, and appropriate documentation.

 

Qualifications

The company requires that the candidates should possess:

  • A first degree in Engineering or Marine equivalent
  • Have 10 years experience in the marine/shipping sector with the last five years spent at a management level in their last place of employment perforating similar functions.
