Vacancies: Mgr. Sales-Production Chemicals, Commercial Manager

Our Client, a major global player in the Oil and Gas Servicing sector invites qualified individuals to apply for the following open positions:

 

Position:     Mgr. Sales-Production Chemicals (Ref: MS-SC)

 

This position is responsible operationally for all marketing and sales of chemicals to existing and potential customers.

 

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Coordinate PL sales on a daily basis for all producing and allied companies
  • Responsible for revenues and margins on all sales to this group.
  • Pursue product line opportunities with above group.
  • Liaise with operations manager and sates personnel in product line and engineering group to effectively coordinate chemical sales.
  • Arrange, carry out presentations, lunch & learn for existing and potential customers with a view to expanding product sales and introduction of new ones/chemistries.
  • Assist in all corporate reporting requirements.
  • Prepare tenders for clients for approval by Operations Manager and Sales Director if and as required
  • Perform weekend on call duties.
  • Liaise with other Product Line colleagues within the Region and Globally and other Product Lines as required.
  • Implement Company Quality system within sales function and advice of changes to procedures and assist in documenting/implementation of these changes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in performance of product lines products and services by promptly reporting all perceived non-conformances.
  • Participate in the company HS&E Management System, including compliance to the policy management standards and specific HS&E procedures. To continuously improve HS&E performance through supervision and accountability within the line management structure of the business segment.
  • Conduct all business activities in accordance with Company HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements and Company Core Values.
  • Other duties as deemed required by the Operations Manager and sales director

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of College qualification or equivalent essential
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or industrial chemistry preferred
  • 10+ years’ experience in an oilfield operations environment

 

Desired/Preferred Knowledge and Skills:

  • Thorough understanding of basic chemistry and oilfield chemicals
  • Complete knowledge of production process systems.
  • Thorough understanding of marketing processes and techniques
  • Thorough understanding of customer requirements in the oilfield environment
  • Proficient in the use of Pcs
  • Ability to use skills, knowledge and techniques in problem recognition and solution development
  • Establishes strategies for achieving individual or work unit goals
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

 

 

Position:     Commercial Manager- (Ref: Mgr Com)

 

This position is responsible commercial aspects of current and future projects in Nigeria.

 

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities

  • Manages Commercial Specialists and Commercial Managers.
  • Oversees implementation of global contracting strategies.
  • Excellent knowledge of Tender process in the Oil and Gas industry
  • Supports development of corporate contracting policies and guidelines.
  • Contract model forms and systems
  • Reviews, drafts and negotiates region and international oilfield service contracts and commercial documents
  • Communicates with company’s Legal, tax quality and finance representatives to identify various project-related risks or concerns
  • Identifies worldwide contracting trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Handles special projects, as assigned.
  • Coaches and mentors more junior Commercial Managers.
  • Involvement in price book formulation and content
  • Develops commercial strategies.
  • Creates commercial tools.
  • Works closely with legal on commercial issues.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of College qualification or equivalent in allied sciences essential
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, and related allied sciences preferred)
  • 10+ years’ experience in an oilfield drilling and completions operations environment.

 

Desired/Preferred Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong knowledge of contracting statutes, both US and non-US.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to lead small to mid-size groups and mentor others.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven negotiating skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Commitment to customer service and ability to work in a team oriented environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of multiple product offerings.
  • Proficient in the use of PC’s
