Our Client is a publicly quoted indigenous oil & gas company operating in the Nigerian downstream sector, engaged in the manufacture and sales of lubricating oils, import and export of petroleum products seeks fill vacant positions in their organization.

Job Summary
The primary function and responsibility of the Oil Trader is to act on behalf of clients to buy and sell physical commodities (including Crude Oil, PMS, AGO, DPK and Jet A1, Bitumen, LPFO, Base Oils, Chemicalsandother specialty products).
Responsibility:
- Ensures the Company develops deep understanding of the markets in which they operate
- Provides input to the identification of business, regulatory, operational and performance risks, and the resolution of attendant issues.
- Supports transaction risk management efforts through the conceptualisation and execution of paper trades and other hedging strategies.
- Performs various forms of business, financial and technical analysis; compiles reports providing critical information for the trading department for decision making.
- Prepares bid/tender documents
- Prepares registration packages to global counterparts, ensuring the company is registered and able to trade with these counterparts and also participate in global purchase and supply tenders
- Provides effective relationship management with both local and global counterparties by ensuring that the company gets the most competitive purchase and sales deals.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 1st degree in Business Administration, Economics or other related area
- 3-5 years experience within a reputable corporate organisation in the oil and gas industry.
- An MBA is an advantage

Job Summary:
The company secretary will be responsible for general legal advice, serve as board secretary, liaise with shareholders and regulatory authorities, manage the company’s image and corporate profile.
Key Responsibilities:
- Determine the strategic direction for Legal department
- Provide in-house legal advice and opinions on issues relating to the company’s business and legal documents on behalf of the company.
- Review, amend, vet and perfect agreements, contracts, bonds and other legal documents.
- Ensure compliance with various statutory requirements of the Law including procurement and renewal of licenses, agreement etc.
- Provide insight and management on statutory enactments which may affect the company.
- Engage the services of and liaising with external solicitors to prosecute claims and defend lawsuits.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Candidates must possess LL.B (Hons); BL. A professional qualification will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 10 years experience in post-call general legal practice, with experience in corporate law
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office is required
- Oil & Gas industry experience will be an added advantage
- Experience relating with shareholders and regulatory authorities will be an added advantage.
