To support maximization of our existing assets and the pursuit of our business expansion agenda, we seek talented, enthusiastic, innovative and multi-tasking individuals as Data Man- agement Engineer, Drilling Engineer, Senior Geologist & Senior Geophysicist.

 

Role Description: Senior Geologist SAOII

 

Reports To: Manager, Geosciences

 

Key Roles: The ideal person is required to have considerable experience with basin evalua­tion and geological modeling. Gather, analyze and interpret varied geological data to formu­late exploration and development projects. Apply knowledgeable structural, stratigraphic, reservoir, and basin analysis techniques to advance geological projects.

 

Accountabilities:

  • Generate quality geologic work to support exploration efforts and reservoir studies in producing assets and assets acquisition efforts.
  • Conduct regional exploration analyses as appropriate to add new projects to the portfolio and extend the boundaries of existing core areas.
  • Identify and apply geological relationships critical to the effective integration of geo­physical information. Work with team geophysicist to tie well data to seismic data for a fully integrated interpretation.
  • Recommend new drilling locations to evaluate and de-risk new plays. Make recom­mendations to acquire new core areas and developing new play ideas.
  • Assist in operational drilling responsibilities, location selection, casing point elections and post-appraisal analyses.
  • Provide geological guidance for all vertical and horizontal drilling operations with emphasis on reservoir evaluation.
  • Work in a multi-discipline team context of geoscientists, engineers, and regulatory staff to add and evaluate prospect inventory in active drilling areas
  • Work closely with operations engineering staff; transfer knowledge of reservoir and petrophysical parameters to enhance completions and well results.
  • Evaluate technical data, conduct risk analysis, and make recommendations on asset  acquisitions and joint venture opportunities. Apply risk analysis and economic viability parameters to all work efforts
  • Provide input to develop economic evaluations and reservoir models.
  • Provide creativity and technical leadership to the team. Develop support staff and mentor emerging professionals.

 

Person Profile:

  • Minimum of a 2nd Class Honours University degree in Geology
  • An M.Sc in any of the Geosciences would be an advantage.
  • Approximately 7 to 10 years relevant work experience
  • Good organizational and numerical skills.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Good leadership and mentoring skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Good team spirit.

Role Description: Senior Geophysicist SAO12

 

Reports To: Manager, Geosciences

 

Key Roles:

  • The ideal candidate should have strong seismic interpretation skills, and be an experienced user of modern PC based exploration tools including Petrel and Kingdom. The individual will need to be a creative prospect generator, with a proven track record in explo­ration. Experience as a project lead is important. Experience gained working internationally would be an advantage, however the candidate is expected to have experience in mature areas and with maturation of frontier environments. Should be conversant with working on AVO studies and also have experience with seismic modelling. A good understanding of seismic processing is important, for work program planning and design.

 

 

Accountabilities:

  • Carry out integrated subsurface interpretations to evaluate prospects primary risk pa­rameters of structure presence, structure effectiveness, reservoir presence, reservoir effectiveness and charge. Must be confident with synthetic well ties, velocity analysis, depth conversion, qualitative AVO/offset gather analysis and rock physics.
  • Carry out quantitative seismic inversion and AVO analysis.
  • Assist in the preparation of volumetric & economic analyses for prospects & well locations.
  • Help high-grade acreage in which to pursue new play concepts within region.
  • Advise Management of geological and seismic data acquisition opportunities, seismic data reprocessing, new technology applications and technical services.
    • Prepare Exploration plans and work programs.
    • Monitor drilling wells & conduct post drill reviews.
    • Recommend and manage geoscience studies with internal and external service pro­viders. Monitor/evaluate competitor activity. Build and maintain cross departmental technical relationships.
    • Recognize and recommend commercially attractive business opportunities. Evaluate prospects available through farm-ins and joint venture opportunities. Interpret technical data over existing lease inventory, finalize maps and support data, evaluate risk and prepare recommendations.
    • Provide creativity and technical leadership to the team. Develop support staff and mentor emerging professionals.

 

 

Person Profile:

  • Minimum of a 2nd Class Honours University degree in Geology and/or Geophysics
  • An M.Sc in Geophysics.
  • Approximately 7 to 10 years as a seismic interpreter.
  • Good organizational and numerical skills.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Good leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task.

Role Description: Drilling Engineer – SAG 13

 

Reports To: Petroleum/Production Engineering Manager

 

Key Roles: The candidate shall be responsible for all the Drilling, Completion and Work over activities of the Company.

 

Accountabilities:

  • Plan, co-ordinate and manage sourcing of drilling rigs.
  • Co-ordinate the preparation of drilling, Completion and Work over programs.
  • Manage the drilling, Completion and Work over execution activities to ensure they are implemented within budget and schedule.
  • Design and execute tendering processes.
  • Manage relationship with contractors.
  • Supervise and provide leadership to Drilling Engineers.
  • Ensure that all data and reports related to Drilling, Completion and Work over activities are obtained and well kept.
  • Ensure that all reports are prepared and submitted to all relevant authorities.
  • Obtain in time ail necessary approvals from all relevant authorities.
  • Maintain a good working relationship with Government agencies.

 

Person Profile:

  • Minimum of a 2nd Class Honours University degree in any Engineering discipline.
  • Approximately 7 to 10 years relevant experience in Drilling, Completion and Work over  operations in the Oil and Gas industry.
  • Good knowledge of drilling rig management, procurement, logistics and supply chain.
  • Well organized and safety conscious.
  • Good project management skills,
  • Good people management and relationship skills.
  • Ability to speak French is an advantage.

 

Role Description: Data Management Engineer – SAO14

 

Reports To: Senior IT Engineer

 

Key Roles:

  • The candidate shall be responsible for managing, maintaining and updating high-volume repositories of documentation, generated by multiple project activities from var­ious departments within the organization. He/She will administer solutions and processes for managing all enterprise data from source to storage, retrieval, backup and recovery within the defined data architecture, process and technology.

 

Accountabilities:

  • Participate and assist in the setup and maintenance of electronic document management solutions.
  • Handle document editing and renewal for user departments.
  • Manage data security, integrity and quality management.
  • Handle data record management of Engineering, Drilling, Production data reports for operations.
  • Support engineering scheduling of projects activities.
  • Ensure the management and control of documentation within the project team, in­cluding maintaining a document control database of all issued and received documents.
  • Support and assist in the search and retrieval of Company and project information for users
  • Support and capturing of documents in the Electronic Document Management Sys­tem including Clients or any relevant sub-contractors documentation.

 

Person Profile:

  • Minimum of a 2nd Class Honours University degree in any Computer Science, Informa­tion Technology/Systems or Engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
  • Good knowledge of the SAP application software.
  • Good interpersonal and communication (verbal & written) skills.
  • Good organizational skills and safety consciousness.
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Good knowledge of Oil and Gas operations.
  • Good project management skills.
  • Good team spirit.
