As a result of expansion and strategic repositioning, we seek immediate employment of exceptional individuals to join our existing team of more than 1,000 employees:

Position: Workshop Managers

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled checks on all Trucks.
  • Ensure regular servicing and maintenance of all Trucks in the company.
  • Maintain a service and maintenance record of all vehicles.
  • Ensure accurate tracking system is maintained and justified in the Truck management.
  • Process and ensure all Government regulatory requirements regarding fleet management are available and up to date.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety norms and industry regulations for all work processes.
  • Assign work areas and tasks to subordinates, supervise and ensure timely completion of same.
  • Liaises with the Purchasing department for spare parts and other repair equipments.
  • Ensure appropriate usage and handling of testing tools and repair equipments.
  • Conduct periodic appraisal of Drivers and other subordinates.

 

Core Skills:

  • Ability to effectively lead and manage a team of subordinates especially Drivers.
  • Possess effective written, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage time and meet all specified deadlines.
  • Must be a person of integrity.

 

Qualification:

  • Applicants must possess Bachelors degree (B.sc) in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering.
  • Possession of MBA will be an added advantage.
  • Computer Literacy and familiarity with automated tracking system.
  • Minimum of 8 years experience working as a fleet management personnel 3 of which must be at a managerial level.

 

 

 

Position: Mechanics,

Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to diagnose faults and malfunctions.
  • Ability to adjust, repair or replace parts and components of truck trailer systems.
  • Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Perform Scheduled maintenance service.
  • Ability to review work orders and discuss work with supervisor.
  • Complete reports to record problems and work performed.

  • Must be able to work independently as well as in a team atmosphere.
  • Job task planning and organizing.
  • Critical thinking, Problem solving.
  • Decision making.
  • Reading text and oral communication.
  • Must be a person of integrity.

 

Qualification:

  • Certificates, Licenses, Memberships, Courses etc
  • Mechanic  Trade  Test  certification,  Truck-Trailer   Repairer Trade Certification.
  • Technical or Vocational Training
  • Certified Apprentice Courses
  • Minimum of 10 years experience working as Truck-Trailer Mechanic, 5 years of which must be on MACK TRUCKS.
