Vacancies: Mechanical Engineer, Laboratory Chemist
Applications are hereby invited from suitable qualified candidates to fill the following vacant positions that exist in the Cement Company of northern Nigeria Plc. located at KM 10, Kalambaina Road, Sokoto
Position: Mechanical Engineer
Qualifications/Skills Requirement;
- The candidate must possess a Bachelor of engineering degree or its equivalent in Mechanical Engineering with at least a minimum of second class Honors lower division from a recognized institution of higher learning.
- Candidates must possess at least 2 years post-NYSC cognate experience in a recognized manufacturing’ production company
- Membership COREN will be an added advantage
- Proficiency/competency in using AutoCAD ford design and modeling systems will be added advantage.
- Project Management Professional Certificate will also be an added advantage
- Coordinate the planned mechanical maintenance activities of production machines/equipment
- Design, interpret and implement equipment monitoring strategies for the plants
- Follow up With the procurement team to achieve quick turnaround time of spare parts procurement
- Coordinate preventive maintenance, repairs, servicing and replacement to maintain optimum performance
- Ensure mechanical safety of the plants
Position: Laboratory Chemist
Qualifications/Skills Requirement;
- Candidate must possess a Bachelor of Science degree or its equivalent in Pure or Applied Chemistry with at least a minimum of second class Honors lower division from a recognized institution of higher learning
- Candidate must possess at least 2 years post-NYSC cognate experience in a recognized manufacturing/ production company.
- Analyze all samples (in-process/finished to ensure that parameters/values obtained are within company quality standards and customer specifications
- Generate reliable analytical results that can be used to optimize plant/factory operations
- Must be familiar with, and can handle basic laboratory equipment/apparatus
- Mast have at least three years practical laboratory experience
- Must have knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental practices
- Must be able and willing to work shift
- Must have basic knowledge of Industrial safety
- ‘Must be physically fit, agile and health
- Must be computer literate for effective report writing
