Vacancies: Auto Mechanics, Auto Electricians

Applications are required from result oriented candidates to fill in the following existing vacancies in one of the largest automobile Company in Nigeria, based in Kano.

 

Position: Auto Mechanics 1 (Diesel 5 and Petrol 5)

Duties

  • Responsible for installing Vehicles structures, engines, transmissions, seat,  dashboards and a host of other parts to light/heavy duty vehicles on process in the assembly Plant,
  • Transmissions  and differentials, Disassembles, cleans, inspects, repairs, adjusts, install sand performs routine preventive maintenance on automobile, trucks and trailer accessories and, components.
  • Performs necessary inspection and repairs to bring vehicles into compliance with emission control standards and provides certification
  • May perform minor arc and gas welding repair
  • May repair vehicle body and  chassis parts using hand and power take-off equipment such as cranes and hoists
  • May change tires and balance wheels
  • Observes and ensure all proper safety precautions

 

Education and Experience

Candidates should have minimum of SSCE or its equivalent, with at least three years of full time relevant working  experience in motor vehicles assembly plant, workshop or any related area.

Note

Interested Candidates are to note that employments into these positions are on one year renewable contract basis

 

Position: Auto Electricians (2)

Duties

  • To diagnose and undertake electrical repairs on a wide variety of vehicles and plant ors
  • To   undertake   electrical   installation of accessories and ancillary equipments on a wide variety of vehicles in the  assemble plant. To test and repair digital control systems including ABS controls.
  • Maintains   and installs all electrical components, such as directional lights, safety warning lights, starting  and charging systems, etc, on all types of vehicles on process in the assembly plant
  • To service and repair ancillary parts and equipments as required
  • To keep all assembled vehicles clean and tidy and any site or work area after use
  • Observes all proper safety precautions
  • Completes all necessary documentation in a neat and timely manner

 

Education and Experience
