Vacancies: Chief Mechanic, Chief electronic Technician, Chief Electrician, Chief Mate
An international ultra-deepwater drilling contractor currently in the process of mobilization to Nigeria to embark on drilling campaign in the Nigeria waters is in dare need of Nigeria candidates to fill the below senior technical positions on the drillship:-
Position: Chief Mechanic
Qualification:
- Must be Nigerian with at least twelve years offshore experience on a drilling rig or as an alternate seven years minimum experience in a similar position with an offshore drilling contractor
Basic Job Responsibilities
Supervise and `lead in completing the Preventive and Corrective Maintenance Repairs of Mechanical, Pneumatic and Hydraulic components of all Topside Drilling Equipment, Related Support Systems and Tubular Handling Equipment, pedestal mounted Knuckle Boom Cranes and Heli-deck access crane.
Position: Chief Electronic Technician
Qualification:
- Must be a Nigerian with at least ten years drilling rig experience in the electronics section of the maintenance function or as an alternate six years minimum in similar position with an offshore drilling contractor anywhere around the globe.
Basic Job Responsibilities
Maintain and repair all electronics systems including Dynamic Position, communication, data acquisition and navigational equipment. AND Maintain and repair electronic systems in relation to subsea BOP equipment and drilling package instrumentation and electronics
Position: Chief Electrician
Qualification:
- Must be a Nigerian with at least ten years offshore experience in the maintenance department or as an alternate seven years minimum in a similar position with ah offshore drilling contractor with necessary certifications;
Basic Job Responsibilities:
- Supervise the maintenance and repair of electrical components of drilling equipment (i.e. drilling motors and auxiliaries, Top Drive systems, mud pumps etc…) marine equipment (thruster motors ballast system, cranes)
Position: Chief Mate
Qualification
- Must be a Nigerian with at least ten years offshore experienced in the Marine department or as an alternate seven years minimum in a similar position with an offshore drilling contractor
Basic Job Responsibilities
Oversee the maintenance of deck equipment, fire fighting and life saving equipment, lifting equipment and vessel’s exterior maintenance AND Ensure materials and equipment loaded onboard are safely stowed, secured and labeled according to Regulatory requirements
