Our client, Courier Plus Limited is a top quartile Courier firm recently acquired by a dynamic group of Companies. Due to ongoing re-engineering and transformation, the organization seeks qualified candidates to fill the positions:

 

 

Position: Managing Director

 

The suitable candidate must be able to identify and deliver critical value drivers of the courier business and successfully execute a turnaround strategy for a growth-focused business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and cascade the vision and mission of the organization to all stakeholders
  • Design and implement successful corporate strategic plans to move the organization to the next level
  • Wholly accountable for the overall performance of the business in terms of growth and profit
  • Responsible for generating and achieving annual financial and customer service objectives

 

 

Critical Skills and Competencies

  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Convincing courier and logistics operations experience
  • Previous hands-on experience in managing a business within a highly competitive industry
  • Expert in strategic planning and execution with strong entrepreneurial mind-set

 

 

Education and Experience

  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree.
  • A Master’s degree in Logistics or Supply Chain or advanced degree in business management will be an advantage.
  • In addition, the candidate must have at least 15 years working experience in Supply Chain or advanced degree in business management

 

 

Position: Regional Business Development Managers

 

Location: Lagos, East & North)

 

Reporting directly to the MD, this senior manager position is focused on developing and growing profitable business opportunities for Courier Plus in the various identified regions.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategies that will exponentially increase revenue, market share and profit in the respective regions
  • Sourcing and development of viable partners and agencies
  • Increasing local visibility and penetration
  • Manage key customer relationships
  • Lead a vibrant team of sales professionals towards achieving overall organizational objectives

 

 

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Passion for target achievement and a great team player
  • Strong client relationship management skills
  • High commercial acumen
  • Good high level networking skills

 

 

Education and Experience:

  • At least 10 years cognate experience in the courier and logistics industry with proven success in sales and new market development.
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or HND,
  • Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
