Finance Services Specialist at GRM International

GRM International is seeking qualified candidates to fill the position below for the Rural and Agricultural Markets Programme to Guide Intervention Managers to understand financial services within their markets, to assess service performance, and where appropriate to advise on reforms to the services that would improve the functioning of a rural commodity or service market.

 

Position:     Finance Services Specialist

 

  • Discuss with business partners the role of financial services,
  • Monitor progress on the implementation of CBN’s NIRSAL programme, occasionally  attending meetings; maintain good relations with CBN’s development finance department.
  • Spot opportunities for the application of new financial services technology to Nigerian rural markets. As appropriate, define them in collaboration with programme colleagues, and seek business partners with which to work

 

To succeed in this role you will have:

  • At least 5 years work experience in Africa, preferably West Africa.
  • At least 10 years work experience in financial services: development finance, commercial banking, mobile banking, informal savings and credit groups, microfinance, venture capital, merchant finance.
  • Masters degree in finance, economics, banking, business (advantage)
  • Attitude: self-starter, takes initiatives, diplomatic, good listener, doesn’t need much supervision, integrity.
  • Speaks English, and Hausa (advantage)
  • Ideal person is someone who has worked in Banks, and experience in agriculture loans would be advantage
