Our company is a product handling organization, due to expansion in the scope of our operations vacancies exist for the under-listed positions:

 

Position:     General Manager Maintenance

  • Coordinate key operations of the business efficiently to deliver high quality service at lowest cost while consistently meeting internal and external customers demand.
  • Provide the strategic leadership, team spirit and the drive to ensure achievement of company objectives across all reporting activities

 

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Overall supervision of fleet maintenance operations. Preventive Maintenance, Routine Service, Corrective maintenance and general repairs. Ensuring hitch free fleet operations in terms of availability and reliability of assets
  • Inaugurate a performance tracking system which includes key performance indicators and ensure that all operations KPIs (preventive & corrective maintenance) are met. He will also be responsible for competency assessment of all technicians in the workshop and develop appropriate intervention in conjunction with the Human Resources division.
  • Ensure high quality, authentic spare parts and tools are utilized for operations and all completed tasks conform to existing quality control measures.
  • Preparation, monitoring and control of budget and inventory. He develop cost control and cost reduction strategies to ensure that budgeted profit targets are achieved.
  • To ensure that the cost effective management of vehicle service and repair is consistent with budgeted levels.
  • Provide accurate and timely returns on a period basis including performance to budget cost factor/indications by vehicle, technical reports of maintenance operations and operation analysis report.
  • Ensure employee compliance to HSSEQ standards.
  • Agree and supervise the implementation of all external SLAs and foster good relationship with clients

 

Qualification: the ideal candidate

  • Must have a degree in either, Business Studies or Technical discipline, an MBA would be an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of Diesel engines
  • Not less than 7 years experience in either a large company or conglomerate preferably in the transport industry at senior management level.
  • Should have a strong character with demonstrated resilience
  • Good analytical abilities
  • Operations management
  • Financial training and communication skills
  • Strong general management skills

 

 

Position:     Operations Supervisors

 

The job holder reports to the General Manager Maintenance and has a responsibility for coordinating key operational aspects of the business efficiently to deliver high quality output at all times while consistently meeting.

 

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervision of fleet maintenance, operations- Preventive Maintenance, Routine Service, Corrective maintenance and general repairs, Ensuring hitch free fleet operations in terms of availability and reliability of assets
  • Ensure that all repair jobs conform to agreed SLA repair timing
  • Ensure that all repair work pass set quality control standard
  • Ensure compliance of fleet to good housekeeping and safety standards
  • Ensure employee compliance to HSSEQ standards
  • Provide accurate and timely returns on periodic bass as demanded for necessary management action

 

Qualification: the ideal candidate

  • Must have a first degree in engineering or related fields from a recognized higher institution
  • Should have good knowledge of Diesel engines
  • Not less than 3 years experience in either a large company or conglomerate preferably in the transport industry
  • Must have tested supervisory experience
  • Should have a strong character with demonstrated resilience
  • Good people management skills good analytical abilities
  • Operations management skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good general management skills

 

 

Position:     Inventory Manager

The job holder reports to the Purchasing Manager and is responsible for the preparation of inventory and working capital report. He /she ensure that inventories of all items are accurately and timely recorded as they occur.

 

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • He ensure that accurate re-order levels minimum and maximum stock levels are set
  • Monitors regularly and review slow moving/idle stock items and prepare necessary reports for management action.
  • Ensure monthly and periodic stock counts exercise is carried out to ensure inventory accuracy and prepare reports for management.
  • Ensure periodic, asset verification exercise is implemented.
  • Supervise day to day inputs of receipts and issues using duly approved source documents
  • Set up the proper arrangement of spares in the spare parts store.

 

Qualification: the ideal candidate

  • Must possess a minimum of a B.Sc/HND in Accounting, statistics, Economics or Business Administration from a recognized higher institution possession of professional qualification will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years working experience preferably in the transport and logistics sector
  • Must have good knowledge of Microsoft tools such as excel power point, word etc.
  • Must be conversant with budget preparation budgetary controls and review.
  • Knowledge of NAVISON ERP” would be an added advantage.
