 Our Client’s core operation is in the Marine segment of the Oil and Gas Upstream Industry. Consistently In the last 15 years our client has owned and operated various vessels for the servicing of the operations of the International Oil Companies in Nigeria.   As a result of strategic repositioning and Its desire to expand its business aggressively, we seek Immediate employment of the following optional Individuals to join Its existing team.

Position: Head Internal Controls and Systems

 Responsibilities

  • Shall be responsible for setting up the Internal Control Procedures and Systems of the company.
  • Conduct regular and on the spot audits of financial controls and management systems for corporate policy and legal compliance
  • Conduct annual review of fiscal and investment management policies and procedures and recommend corrective measures when necessary
  • Conduct audit of automated financial systems to ensure correct data represents corporate financial health
  • Ensure any identified data error, unaccountable transactions, faulty or inefficient processes are duly communicated to management while proffering suitable solutions and control measures

CORE SKILLS

  • Must be vision minded, thorough and arithmetic oriented, conscientious and calculative with a high level of accuracy
  • Must be a person of integrity and ethically guided with willingness to disclose potentially illegal, criminal and unethical business practices or data
  • Possess good communication and interpersonal skills

 

Qualification

  • Bachelors degree or HND in accounting
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant
  • Possession of MBA will be an advantage
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with automated accounting systems or ERPs.
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience

Position: Financial Controller (PC)

 Responsibilities

  • The Financial Controller directs the day-to-day financial activities of Company and has responsibility for overall Company financial policies and objectives. He/she ensures the security and stability of Company’s assets and funds and identifies and secures additional financial resources to promote Company’s growth and business diversification.

Job Description:

The incumbent:

  • Is the Chief Financial and Principal Accounting Officer of Company and directs the dairy operation of the Company’s finance function, including treasury, budgeting, auditing, tax, accounting, capital purchasing, investor relations, risk management, and long-range forecasting and insurance activities.
  • Establishes Company’s accounting systems and procedures and ensures they are up-to-date and In compliance with all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepares and issues quarterly and annual audited financial statements and reports.
  • Manages and tracks Company’s funds, assets and Investments and periodically issues reports on its current as well as projected financial stability/condition. Establishes and maintains contacts with auditors, actuaries, financial institutions, government agencies, joint venture partners, and counterparts.
  • Identifies sources of financing to expand the scope of Company’s business opportunities. Negotiates project financing; structures and documents financial packages and agreements.

Minimum Requirements/Skills Competencies:

  • ACA/ACCA with strong background in finance, plus a minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible financial management experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current accounting standards and procedures, knowledge of internal controls and procedures for financial reporting as is necessary for compliance with procedures and standards.

Position: Human Resource Manager

 Responsibilities

Maintains and enhances the organization’s human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices.

Job Description

  • Maintains the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.
  • Maintains organization staff by establishing a recruiting, testing, and interviewing program; counseling managers on candidate selection; conducting and analyzing exit interviews; recommending changes.
  • Maintains a pay plan by conducting periodic pay surveys; scheduling and conducting job evaluations; preparing pay budgets; monitoring and scheduling individual pay actions; recommending, planning, and implementing pay structure revisions.
  • Ensures planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees; scheduling management conferences with employees; hearing and resolving employee grievances; counseling and supervisors.
  • Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records; representing the organization at hearings.
  • Maintains management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures.

 

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR Management or related discipline required; Master’s Degree preferred.
  • At least ten years of professional experience across all HR disciplines.
  • Professional certification required; NIPM/CIPD certification preferred.
