Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for appointment into the following teaching staff positions in the University of Uyo, Uyo
Position: Chief Security Officer – Salary CONTISS 13 (N1, 456, 399 00 –N1, 919, 655.00)
Qualification and Experience
- The candidate shall possess a good honours degree from a recognized University, plus fourteen (14) years of cognate experience, or must have retired on the rank of Lieutenant Colonel or equivalent in the Military/Paramilitary or Security Services.
- Candidate must possess demonstrable qualities of a trustworthy and dependable leader who can evolve a security policy for the University and operate a virile Security Unit. Candidate must possess the ability to promptly manage crisis situations and organize security community relations activities aimed at enhancing peace within the University.
- Applicant must have sound knowledge of University Rules and Regulations. Postgraduate training in the relevant field plus a good knowledge of Security Intelligence would be an added advantage.
Position: Personal Secretary: Salary CONTISS 9 (N788, 784.00-Nl, 142,410.00)
The candidate must possess:
(i) University degree or HND in Secretarial Studies plus 120/50WPM in Shorthand and Typewriting, having the relevant professional certification will be an advantage
(ii) At least 6 years post qualification experience as well as possess me ability to perform within me University System.
(iii) Candidate must be competent with various computer packages and applications.
