Court Administrator at Lagos State Judicial Service Commission

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the post of Court Administrator in the Lagos State Judiciary.

Position: Court Administrator

Functions and Responsibilities:

The Court Administrator is the Chief Administrative and Accounting Officer of the Lagos State Magistracy (the Magistracy) and is responsible for the day to day administration and efficient operation of the Magistracy. He/She is required to support, assist and ensure the operational efficiency of the Magistracy in the execution and performance of its judicial functions.

In particular, the duties and functions of the Court Administrator shall include:-

  • Management of the budget of the Magistracy, financial administration, budget preparation, fiscal management of appropriated and other funds, purchasing, cash collection, accounting and auditing.
  • Management of the administrative staff attached to the Magistracy including disciplinary matters as prescribed by the relevant rules, processes and laws.
  • Establishment and management of procedures for the acquisition and maintenance of furniture, equipment and other things required for the smooth running of the Magistracy; and
  • Carrying out the directives of the Commission as may be prescribed from time to time.

 

Qualification & Experience:

  • The candidate must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree or relevant professional qualification with not less than ten (10) years cognate experience.
