Vacancies: Marketing/Public Relations Officer, Administrative Officer, Senior Confidential Secretary

 

Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill  the  non -teaching vacancies  in the  following  Departments/ units of the University of Agriculture, Makurdi.

 

Registry Unit

Position: Marketing/Public Relations Officer (CONTISS 11)

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess a good honours degree from a recognized
  • University in Mass Communications, Public Relations or any other relevant degree in the Humanities or Social Sciences with at least nine (9) years cognate experience plus evidence of membership of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), or Masters Degree in a relevant field with at least six (6) years cognate experience plus membership of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).

 

Position: Administrative Officer (CONTISS 8)

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess a Masters Degree from a recognized University or a good honours degree from a recognized university with three (3) years cognate experience.

Position: Senior Confidential Secretary (CONTISSS 8)

 

Qualifications

  • Candidate should possess a university degree or HND or Government Training
  • Centre certificate for 120/50 WPM in Shorthand and Typewriting with at least six years post-qualification secretarial experience as confidential secretary.

 

Notes

i)       All candidates must possess either NYSC Discharge certificate or exemption certificate or certificate of exclusion where applicable

ii)      Salaries and Allowances attached to the various vacancies are the  same with the approved salary scheme for Federal Universities in Nigeria

iii)     Candidates who are awaiting results may not be  considered and  need not  apply

iv)     Computer  literacy is required  for all cadres listed above

xiv)   Honours/Distinctions

xv)    Working Experience including full details of former and present posts with dates xvi)          Full details of teaching, research experience and service to the nation and

immediate community where applicable

xvi)   Names, addresses, GSM numbers and e-mail addresses of three referees who shall include his/her current boss or Head of Department, one who must attest    to his character and another who will speak on his professional/ academic competence. Candidates’ submission should be forwarded in an envelope which has the position applied for clearly indicated on the left hand corner.
