Directorate of Works and Physical Planning (Dept.)
Position: Director of Works and Physical Planning
Qualification and Experience:
- Director of Works shall be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day to day administration of the Works and Physical Planning Directorate. The appointee should exhibit considerable ability to control and coordinate operations of engineering, technical and professional nature in the university estate.
- Applicant must possess a good honours degree in the field of Engineering or Architecture from a recognized university. Membership of the Professional regulatory body (COREN, ARCON, NIA) is required. In addition, the Candidate must have at least fifteen (15) years cognate post-qualification working experience, most of which preferably should be in services related to a university works/Physical Planning Department.
Position: Engineers
Qualification and Experience:
- Candidates should have B Sc Engineering (Civil. Building, Structural) plus COREN registration and minimum of 6 years cognate experience in the building industry. Membership of NSE is an added advantage.
- Must be computer literate.
Position: Architects
Qualification and Experience:
- A good first Degree in architecture plus registration with relevant professional bodies and minimum of four years cognate experience in the building industry. Must be computer literate.
Salary Package:
The Federal Government Consolidated University Salary Structure.
