Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for appointment into the following teaching staff positions in the University of Uyo, Uyo.
Position: Land Surveyor: CONTISS 7 (N590, 191.00 – N868, 105.00)
The candidate must possess:
(I) a good Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, not below Second Class Lower Division from a recognized institution and registrable with the relevant professional body as well as possess the ability to perform within the University system;
(II) At least 1 year post qualification cognate experience in a Reputable Organization.
DIRECTORATE OF WORKS
Position: Deputy Director of Works: CONTISS 14(1, 820, 908.00 – N2, 381,772 00)
Conditions of Service as generally applicable in the Nigerian University System and in the Public Service in Nigeria. The appointment is Pensionable.
Qualification and Experience
Applicants must possess the following:
(i) A good honours degree in the relevant field of Engineering from a recognized University not below Second Class Lower Division
(ii) Membership of COREN, in addition, the candidate must have, at least sixteen (16) years cognate Post-qualification working experience, preferably in Engineering Services relevant to a University Works Department.
Responsibility
The Deputy Director of Works shall work hand in hand with the Director of Works hi the day-to-day administration of the University Works Department. The appointee should exhibit considerable ability to control and coordinate operations of engineering, technical/professional nature in the University Estate and should be able to take full responsibility of the Department in the absence of the Director of Works.
