Job Title: Electrical Superintendent – ELECSP

 

Location: Port Harcourt Base/Sites

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • The Electrical Superintendent co-ordinates and controls the work carried out by the teams and company officers, makes check of calculations of the voltages allowed on the lines, prepares diagrams and descriptions of the ELE systems.
  • Promote safe works practices and environmental protection, ensuring that safety standards are respected as well as ensure the fulfillment of the project quality and contractual requirements.
  • Arrange for the correct and cost-effective performance of electrical   construction   works,   in   accordance   with   the established operating programs, coordinating and controlling the activities performed by the dependent teams.
  • Give all information  regarding the progress of the work indicating the cause of deviations between the program and the work carried out and propose solutions and/or request instructions to overcome these problems. Control production parameters in terms of efficiency and productivity. Ensure proper discipline workflow, interfacing with all the project organization.
  • Ensure the correct quantities accounts of the works, including updating man-hours and cost estimates for scope of work change
  • Ensure the supervision and monitoring of the works performed, subcontracted or in direct hiring. Coordinate human and technical resources, indicating any needs or surplus.

 

Skills, Competence and Experience

  • Good experience with LV/HV systems and fully aware of using and implementation of Prevented Maintenance.
  • Knowledge of the main international Construction standards, codes and regulations.
  • Knowledge of contract schemes and technical annexes / clauses.
  • Knowledge of methodologies for testing cables (continuity check and meggering).
  • Knowledge of test methodologies for earthing greed and lighting system.
  • Electrical   Equipment   Knowledge   of  HV/LV  equipment, cathodic   protection   systems,   electrical   control   systems (IPCS), UPS systems.
  • Knowledge of methodologies for testing electrical systems such as MCC, switch gears and transformers. Knowledge of set-up procedures of electrical equipment.
  • Knowledge of typical installations for electrical activities. Cable pulling and dressing, cable termination, earthing greed, cathodic protection, lighting systems and electrical equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical project documents, such as load list, one line diagram, cable list, cable routing, cabinet arrangements and layout.
  • Application of HSE Project Plan-Promotion of safe works practices   and   environmental   protection.   Effective   HSE communication (TBD, HSE meetings, etc.).
  • Understanding and correct use of permit to work system and risk assessment.
  • Understanding and application of a project execution and construction plan and ability to execute the assigned activities in order to achieve the scheduled targets.
  • Familiarity with Project QA/QC plan and methods, procedures and requirements for the related application
  • Knowledge of installation sequences for substation equipment (switchboards and transformers).

 

 

Qualification

  • Graduate Engineers (Electrical), with 10+ years of experience should be Conversant in organization and control of the correct installation of the electrical devices and instruments needed to make and electrical equipment operational.
  • A solid understanding of electrical drawing and excellent planning skills.
  • Good command of English.
  • Must be Computer Literate and able to use MS Office

 

 

Job Title: Electrical Supervisor- ELESP

 

Location: Port Harcourt Base/Sites

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Providing leadership, coordination and supervision of E & I works in the field to achieve construction outcomes of the project.
  • Managing E&l activities to ensure compliance with all HSE standards and targets to ensure project safety.
  • Plan & schedule work and labour requirements to meet contract time commitments and maximize resources.
  • Monitor progress against work schedule to identify any issues on the projects.
  • Liaison with suppliers to organize plant and equipment
  • Fostering and managing client relations
  • Ensuring project quality is aligned with statutory and client requirements.

 

Skills, Competence and Experience

  • She must be able to maintain and troubleshoot below type of equipment:
  • Electric welding machine (Lincoln/Miller).
  • Onshore and Offshore fabrication equipment like electric oven.
  • Electric Panel for power distribution.
  • Transformer type ON AN 400V/11000.
  • Power control Unit for management of genset power (Gensys and Woodward).
  • LMI (load moment indicator) of all crane present in the site (Robway and Pat).
  • Must have experience managing power plants and power supply in a manufacturing outfit.

 

Qualification

  • Minimum of 10 years experience working in Power Plants with at least 5 years spent in a Supervisory role.
  • HND/Bachelor Degree in Electrical /Power Engineering.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office applications.
