Vacancies: Assistant Lecturer, Lecturer II
The Kogi State University, which came into existence in 1999, has recently established a Faculty of Medicine, following the full accreditation of all the academic programmes in the present six Faculties. The establishment of a Faculty of Medicine is thus part of the planned expansion and growth of the University to meet the needs of Kogi State and Nigeria in the centuries ahead.
Consequently, the University intends to recruit suitably qualified academic staff to facilitate the smooth take-off and orderly growth of the Faculty and the University in general.
Position: Assistant Lecturer
- A holder of Master’s Degree in the above disciplines from a recognized University who has a minimum of 2nd Class Upper in the first degree.
- A holder of Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) degree from a recognized University.
Position: Lecturer II
Requirements
- A Ph.D Degree in the above disciplines from a recognized University or a holder of a Master’s Degree in the relevant fields with 3 years cognate experience plus a minimum of three research journal publications, of which one may be a combination of an edited conference proceeding, technical reports, chapters in books, monographs, etc.
- An MBBS degree is an added advantage.
Salary and Allowance:
Salary and allowances attached to the positions will be as obtained in Federal Government Universities.
