At the start of operations in 2006, Arik Air launched a Cadet Pilot Training Programme
as an initiative to creatively address the looming pilot, shortage which is imminent in Nigeria’s aviation industry. The first batch of 16 students drawn from 15 states of the federation was sent to the Nigeria College of Aviation Technology (NCAT) Zaria for the Standard Pilots’ Course. Several others have been trained within Nigeria and abroad since then.
By building skilled specialists in the aviation sector, Arik Air is making a significant contribution to the trade, travel and tourism industries in the country.
Arik Air has recently completed the final review of its Cadet programme requirements for 2012 and is calling for applications from suitably qualified Nigerian graduates wishing to be among the world’s best trained pilots.

Requirements:
- Interested candidates should have a First Degree in Natural Sciences with a good grade. Application is open to Nigerians not above 25 years of age.
- Qualified candidates will be required to write an aptitude test and undergo a psychometric test.

Position: Management Trainees
Applications are invited from qualified University/Polytechnic graduates in numerate disciplines with proven academic/professional excellence to join Arik Air Limited and take up a rewarding career in various sections of the airline, as Management Trainees.
- Successful candidates will go through systematic and diversified training programs spanning a period of two years after which they will be deployed to different areas of the business, where they will make impact.
- The candidates will also be provided with and exposed to a wide range of opportunities to excel in all aspects of the business with a view to contributing to corporate success.
Requirements
- The candidates required for this position should not be more than 30 years of age by June, 2012.
- Candidate should possess B.Sc/HND with minimum of second upper division/Lower Credit in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or Engineering. In addition, candidates required for this position should have an SSCE Certificate with Credits in Five subjects at not more than one sitting.
