MID Manager (2 year fixed contract) in an International Development Organization

 

Sightsavers an International Development Organization which focuses on building eye health systems and championing the rights of disabled people in developing countries by working with partner organizations in poor and least served communities. We support ongoing activities that prevent and cure blindness, restore sight and promote equal opportunities for visually impaired people and otherwise disabled people.

 

Sightsavers has set two ambitious, but achievable, goals to fast track the elimination of two neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) that are two of the leading causes of preventable blindness amongst the communities we work with in Africa and Asia – onchocerciasis and trachoma.

 

In recognition of the growth and importance of this work, we are now recruiting for the post of NTD Manager to support the growth of our important work on neglected tropical diseases. The Country NTD Manager will lead on programmatic management for the implementation of the trachoma and onchocerciasis FTIs and on integration of mass drug administration against NTDs. Under the management of the relevant Country Director, responsibilities will also include delivery of NTD

programme targets, provision of programme management guidance and direct technical support to build the development of integrated NTD programmes and advocacy for the elimination of NTDs on a national basis.

 

Position: MID Manager (2 year fixed contract)

 

Office location: Kaduna, Kaduna State Nigeria, Yaounde, Cameroon
