Position:     Quarry Plant Manager [WFM009]

 

The Role:

The key responsibility of the role is to ensure that the quarry, pits and opencast sites operate successfully. The role will oversee all operations, both on site and in the office, manage staff, coordinate production and monitor all site systems. The successful candidate will be required to combine his/her knowledge of extraction and processing systems with excellent Interpersonal and management skills to ensure the profitability of quarry site.

Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, equivalent or higher Engineering degree (mining or geological)
  • At least 7 years of professional experience in mining production
  • Understanding of quarry exploitation; knowledge in mining and drilling
  • Basic knowledge in preventive maintenance and strong commitment to safety plus a safety certification

 

Position:     Procurement and Logistics Managers [WFM010]

 

The Role:

The primary area of responsibility for the Procurement Manager is ensuring all supply chain procurement related activities are conducted in a compliant free and successful manner. The role is also expected to manage all transportation related activities of the organization. Continuous improvement, profitability, personnel development and stringent cost controls are paramount.

 

The Procurement Manager role requires strong overall knowledge and seasoned experience with international supply chain operations and previous exposure and experience with general construction, supply chain, logistics, transportation and business management.

Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, equivalent or higher, in Engineering or business management.
  • 5 – 7 overall years of experience and a minimum of 3 years in a similar role. Knowledge of the construction industry and company operations will be an added advantage.
  • Strong sourcing, organizational, writing and negotiating skills are required. Procurement, constructs management or project management experience is required.
  • Considerable procurement/sourcing experience, preferably reasonable period of time spent sourcing for plant engineering and construction services
  • Familiar with operating within on Oracle or SAP environment with a good knowledge of JD Edwards
