One of our clients based in Yenogoa, Bayelsa State, which specialises in the dredging and construction industry seeks to fill the following vacancies:

Position: Finance Manager

Location: Yenegoa, Bayelsa

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collate, prepare and interpret reports, budgets, accounts, commentaries and   financial statements;
  • undertaking strategic analysis and assisting with strategic planning
  • Producing long-term business plans
  • Undertaking research into pricing, competitors and factors affecting performance.
  • controlling income, cash flow and expenditure
  • managing budgets
  • Payroll management
  • developing and managing financial system/models
  • carrying out business modeling and risk assessments
  • supervising staff in Accounts Department
  • liaising with managerial staff and other colleagues
  • Budget planning and management
  • Oversee the allocation of resources, set priorities and identify issues to be escalated
  • Direct business growth in the bottom line of the company
  • Ensure general profitability of the department
  • Manage a professional team

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • B.Sc/HND in Accounting from a reputable University
  • A fully or part qualified accountant
  • Must be over 35 years old
  • Must have not less than ten (10) years experiences in Accounts and Finance environment.
  • Must be able to use Peachtree Accounting Software
  • Must have Possess good accounting experience, some tax knowledge desirable
  • Excellent eye for detail, diligent knowledge of accounting regulations
  • Ability to report to senior managers
  • Excellent commercial flair and industry experience
  • Directing and managing the day-to-day activities of the staff
  • Advanced experience in departmental budging, planning and management
  • accounting principles
  • Financial planning and Financial management
  • Costing principles
  • Solid basic auditing principles
  • Expert in managing relationships with alliance partners/supplier

 

Position: Accountant

 

Location: Yenegoa, Bayelsa

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise the input and handling of financial data and reports for the company’s automated financial systems.
  2. Prepare profit and loss statements and monthly basis
  3. Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and document business transactions
  4. Establish, maintain, and coordinate the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures.
  5. Analyze and review budgets and expenditures for funding and contracts
  6. Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness.
  7. Prepare and review budget, revenue, expence, payroll entries, invoices, and other accounting documents
  8. Analyze revenue and expenditure trends and recommend appropriate budget levels, and ensure expenditure control
  9. Prepare and send billing invoices to customers
  10. Explain billing invoices and accounting policies to staff, vendors and clients
  11. Resolve accounting discrepancies
  12. Recommend, develop and maintain financial data bases, computer software systems and manual filling systems
  13. Interact with internal and external auditors in completing audits.  deveiopmg   and   managing   financial

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • B.Sc/HND in Accounting from a reputable University
  • Must have not less than five (5) years experiences in Accounts and Finance environment.
  • Must be able to use Peachtree Accounting Software
  • Must be able to use MS Office at least up to intermediate level
  • Ability to report to senior managers
  • Directing and managing the day-to-day activities in account department
  • Ability to work in a team
