Vacancies: State Coordinators, Communications Officer, Technical Support Officer

V4C is a DFID funded programme that addresses the enabling environment for gender equality and women’s empowerment. Managed by a GRM International led consortium, the programme impact will be that adolescent girls and women (AGW) get improved access to health, education, economic, political opportunity and justice. This will contribute to the achievement of all the MOGs.

 

The programme outcome is the enabling environment for AGWs empowerment in Nigeria strengthened.

The programme will tackle the underlying causes of gender inequality by working towards five outputs:

  • Output 1: 120,000 Adolescent girls and women with improved life and social skills
  • Output 2: 2.75 million people with improved knowledge and attitudes that challenges gendered social discrimination
  • Output 3: Key influencers, including 12,000 boys and men and 4,000 leaders, with improved attitudes to girls and women
  • Output 4: Greater inclusion of girls and women issues in political and governance processes
  • Output 5: Key audiences are more knowledgeable on how to improve the enabling environment for AGW.

 

Position: State Coordinators (4 positions)

Office Locations: Kano – 1, Lagos – 1, Enugu – 1, Kaduna – 1

Requirement:

  • Serve as the V4C focal person in the state, coordinating activities of all outputs, state players and sub-recipient.
  • Provide technical assistance (TA)   to partners in areas relating to Intensifying attitudinal change through virtual and physical space and support to brand ambassadors within post-secondary school institutions.
  • Support partners working to promote changes in legal frameworks and women’s political participation ensuring linkages and synergies with other V4C core activities.
  • Support communication manager in identifying and liaising with media outlets, informing the communication manager on trends and feeding back on response to campaigns and other communications materials.
  • Represent V4C at the State level ensuring strong linkages and synergy with other DFID programs.

 

Position: Communications Officer

Office Location: Abuja

 

Requirement:

  • Play a strategic role in the Communications Unit, delivering an exciting multi -media campaign.
  • Support the Communications Manager in all components of the Communications output.
  • Involve strategic support to effectively deliver the various communications activities across the entire communications work stream.

 

Position: Technical Support Officer

Office Location: Abuja

Requirement:

  • Provide technical and administrative support to Output lead on AGW issues in political and governance processes and Evidence in research to ensure effective delivery of the outputs.
  • Support in coordinating the production of all reporting documentation as well as timely delivery of contractual and programmatic obligations.
  • Coordinate the implementation of initiatives aimed at a more gender responsive budgetary frameworks.
