Vacancies: Lecturer I, Senior Lecturer
The Kogi State University, which came into existence in 1999, has recently established a Faculty of Medicine, following the full accreditation of all the academic programmes in the present six Faculties. The establishment of a Faculty of Medicine is thus part of the planned expansion and growth of the University to meet the needs of Kogi State and Nigeria in the centuries ahead.
Consequently, the University intends to recruit suitably qualified academic staff to facilitate the smooth take-off and orderly growth of the Faculty and the University in general.
Position: Lecturer I
Requirements
- A Ph.D holder who has been lecturer II for a minimum of 3 years with at least 5 publications, of which not more than 2 may be edited conference proceedings.
- A Master’s Degree holder who has been lecturer II for a minimum of 3 years, and who possesses a minimum of 5 journal publications and two from edited conference proceedings, technical reports, chapters in books, monographs, etc.
- An MBBS Degree is an added advantage.
Position: Senior Lecturer
Requirement
- A Ph.D holder with a minimum of 3 years experience as Lecturer I and who has a minimum of 6 journal publications and four (4) from edited conference proceedings, technical reports, chapters in books, monographs, etc.
- The candidate must demonstrate strong evidence or potential for continued research activity and academic leadership.
Salary and Allowance:
Salary and allowances attached to the positions will be as obtained in Federal Government Universities.
