Vacancies: Security Managers, Security Officers
Our client is the regulator and highest policy making institution for the financial services sector. Due to the attendant need to ensure appropriate personnel and capacity to effectively carry out its various statutory obligations within the institution, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has identified certain positions for hire within the Security Services Department in the organization.
The following are the various Vacancies:
Position: Security Managers -NEXTCBN/SMGR:
Office: Security Services
Role/Code/Description and Relevant Experience
To assist in the management, organization and coordination of general deployment and administration of security personnel, equipment and other resources in order to safe guard the assets of the Bank.
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinates the activities of the security operatives in the Bank
- Deploys security operatives to the core security areas as required.
- Assists to ensure efficient delivery of security operations to the Bank
- Assists in managing the out sourced physical security coverage in all residential estates and office apartments.
- Reviews security operations procedures periodically as required.
- Operates the communications console and oversees the alarms/CCTVs to monitor for incidents and issues that may affect the Bank’s operations
- Assists in the preparation of effective security services survey, plan and budget.
- Reports regularly on security issues affecting the Bank
- Ensures safety of all Bank’s properties
- Produces routine security report on outsourced physical security covering the Bank.
Competence Requirements
Core Skills:
- Security risk assessment skills
- Knowledge of physical security operations
- Knowledge of security systems, e.g. CCTV Systems, Radio Communication Systems, Integrated Alarm Systems, etc
- Understanding of security/safety issues affecting the CBN
- Knowledge of emergency and recovery management procedures
- Safety services delivery
- Expertise in crisis management
- PC/personal productivity tools skills Words for windows, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft project and Electronic mail (level 2)
Generic Skills:
- Results oriented
- Initiative
- Action planning
- Excellent interpersonal relationships ability
Experience:
- 6 years post qualification experience at least 3 of which should be in security/safety management in a reputable financial institution.
Qualification:
- A minimum of a good first degree in Sociology, Psychology, Criminology, Law. Possession of postgraduate qualification in related field will be an advantage
Added advantage
- Membership of the Institute of Industrial Security and Safety of Nigeria, or any related professional security body is an added advantage
Position: Security Officers -NEXTCBN/SOFF
The Security Service Officers will provide necessary support in the development of security-related risk management strategies and ensure that Security risk-related controls and management requirements are enforced to safeguard personnel, equipment and other assets of the Bank.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in the coordination of the activities of the security operatives in the Bank.
- Assists to ensure efficient delivery of security operations to the Bank.
- Assist in implementing Security risk management policies.
- Assist in Managing Security-related risk exposures
- Assist in Identifying and measuring security risk across the bank
- Monitor adherence to Security Risk mitigation plans and provide reports to the Security Service Managers
- Research and propose new Security Risk Mitigation plans
Competence Requirements
Core Skills:
