Vacancies: Material Officer, Trainee Geologist
Our Client, a wholly owned indigenous E&P Company, operating from its own l0, 00bbls crude processing station (Flow station), is currently expanding its operations and consequently looking to recruit strategic and positive minded individuals to fill the following positions in Lagos/Delta State.
Position: Material Officer
Role Summary:
Provide accurate and timely information with respect to company materials movement inventory management
Major Accountabilities:
- Coordinate the physical inspection of materials delivered for accuracy, ensuring they are in good condition and conform to the contract and / or LPO outlines/requirements
- Review items for stock replenishment by liaising with the Head of User Departments for such items that could be re-ordered.
Competencies:
- Competent in inventory management and resources planning.
- Possess logistics, negotiation and demand management skills
Qualification:
- B.Sc. HND in any discipline, preferably Science or Technical with a minimum of 2.1 or Upper Credit.
- 2-3 years’ experience with at least 1 year experience in a similar position preferably in the Oil and Gas Industry
Position: Trainee Geologist
Role Summary
Assist the Geology & Geophysicist team in all day to day activities e.g evaluations and programming.
Major Accountabilities:
- Perform routine field and office activities requiring the application of basic geological and geophysical principles and elemental theories
- Assist with G&G daily technical report writing, geodetic referencing and Data Management functions
Competencies:
- Should posses a clear understanding of basic Geoscience concepts and principles. Self motivated with the ability to make effective individual contributions within a functional team
Qualification:
- B.Sc in Geology or Geophysics with a minimum of 2.1 degree
